Summer is nearly over!
Sorry I missed our newsletter last week. I was caught up in the wedding festivities and out of town guests for the last Covey son to marry and realized on Monday that I hadn't sent one out! The wedding was absolutely beautiful and we are excited to have another wonderful woman in the Covey clan. Karen has had a whirlwind month between reunions, birthdays, weddings...we can hardly keep up! And last but certainly not least, my little man starts Pre-K on Monday. I think we're ready...momma's trying to be ready, I'll say that. Lots of new around here!
New Arrivals
Beautiful Grand Traverse Bay by Minick and Simpson has arrived in pre-cuts and 20 gorgeous bolts. If you are a blue fan, this is for you!
Ella Blue is one of our new favorites and their newest line, Matilda. Bright Aquas, Greens, Pinks and Oranges. We have 5 bundles available with a free pattern to make Matilda's Quilt. You just need the bundle and 5/8 yard for binding. Perfectly scrappy and beautiful!
Explore America is a cute little map of the United States - we've adjusted the pillowcase pattern to make it work and love it!
We have a few peacock and elephant prints that came in from Season of Love by Ana Davis. As well as new gator prints on pink and blue backgrounds from a line by Maude Asbury called See You Later. You can find all these prints in our New Arrivals online.
Block of the Month Programs
American Beauty is a Marti Michell Blocks of the Month class with Faye starting September 3rd.
Freedom Bound registration will be open until August 31st. This is a non-facilitated BOM and pick up will be on the 15th of each month starting September 15th. There is a Facebook group for questions and you can have a shop group on Club Sunday (just $5) if you so choose.
Educational Opportunities
Donna Lawrence has a great class coming up this Wednesday, the Jordan Jacket. Perfect for a lightweight fall jacket and Donna will help fit you.
Don't miss our new "Club Sunday" on the 2nd Sunday of August, September and October from 11am-4pm. It will be just $5 (pre-registration required) and any small group can come to use the classroom to meet. Hand Embroidery, Featherweight, UFO, Fiber Arts and the like are all welcome.
Michele's T-Shirt Quilt class starts Monday evening and there are a few seats available. Perfect timing for those Christmas and Winter Graduation gifts! She also has a Night Stitchers coming up on the 3rd Friday and a Whole Nine Yards is also scheduled for that Saturday. Make yourself a mini retreat weekend for only $24.99 and get working on those holiday projects!
Just a friendly reminder to sign up at least a week in advance of class. We want to be able to give at least 5 days notice for teachers and students to plan accordingly. If you register and the class does not make, we will provide a full refund. You can view the class handout PDF or check out all the new classes through October here.
